Old Dog, New Tricks with Moen
9:10 PM
It's the peak of summer and I wish it would last forever; beach days, long walks in the park, ice cream, I don't even mind the occasional summer rain. But along with all those wonderful things, as any dog owner knows, comes sandy paws and muddy fur. My dog, Evie, is a big fan of her midday walk at Malone Park rolling around in lord knows what, sniffing other dogs, furiously digging around, and last week, narrowly avoiding a skunk. Needless to say, bath time occurs with a bit more frequency in the summertime.
To make cleaning paws a little easier on the both of us, we installed a Moen Propel Handheld Shower. Installation took less than 5 minutes and it was time for Evie to be pampered with a little bubbles in the bath. Since she's an older gal at 12 years old, I didn't want to startle her and start aggressively spraying her with water so we took a little time to hang out in the tub before her bath so she could get comfortable with the shower head.
When it was finally time to get the water going, I used the pause trickle function (the small chrome switch pictured) to slowly control the pressure and amount of water during her bath. While lathering her up it was easy to switch on and let the shower hand while massaging in her shampoo. I know, this pup is seriously spoiled! I don't think she's ever had such a luxurious bathing experience. I've been enjoying my own quite a bit since we installed this shower, but no one is loving it more than her.*
