Four Shows to Stream During the Storm

6:58 PM

If you know me, you know I love TV. I'd rather stay in and catch up on Grey's than go to the movies, and you can pretty much guarantee I've seen and am ready to chat about the most recent episodes in the Chicago NBC series. Now that I'm fun-employed, I have a bit more time to catch up on my favorite shows and binge watch some new ones. I thought I'd share some of my picks that are now available to stream on Verizon FIOS among other streaming sites, especially with the crappy weather we're supposed to have this weekend. Consider yourself lucky if you have both Verizon FIOS and Wireless; you can stream some of these for free from your mobile device without using any of your data!

Binge Pick: I'm finally going to start watching Shameless! I know, I'm so late to the party but this seems like the perfect time to binge watch this beloved Showtime favorite. Spanning 7 seasons, I know this family drama is anything but light-hearted, but I'm really pining for a show with characters as beloved as the casts of some of my favorite shows with strong character development like Grey's and How to Get Away with Murder.

Guilty Pleasure: The series finale for this beloved FOX production just aired on March 28th and I'm sad to see it end after 12 seasons and 246 episodes. Bones has been one of my favorite more lighthearted crime dramas over the years and I've loved following the awkward, hopelessly adorable, romance between Bones and Booth! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll say "that's totally not even possible" but you'll love it.

Queued Up: Chicago Justice is already more than six episodes into it's first season and I've yet to watch this newcomer to the Chicago Series! Since I'm already in love with the casts of Fire, P.D., and Med I'm fairly certain I'll enjoy this courtroom-centric addition to the series. I'm looking forward to spending an afternoon on the couch getting to know the cast.

Premium Pick: Another Showtime classic, Dexter, has to be one of my favorite TV shows EVER. With 8 season and 96 episodes, it's by far the biggest time commitment of my picks, but it's worth every minute of your time! I can recall watching the first episode and not being very interested but I'm glad I kept watching; after a few episodes I was hooked and before you know it I'm crying over the series finale (which is a weird one, by the way. PM me and we can discuss.
