Boston Staycation: Courtyard Boston Downtown
8:35 PM
When my college bestie Haley told me she was coming to visit from Santa Barbara I immediately started counting down the days until her visit. We have been friends for over eight years and despite the distance we still manage to constantly keep in touch. I wanted to do something special to celebrate our friendship and make the weekend a bit more exciting so I turned to the Courtyard Boston Downtown. What better way to celebrate a girls night than with a sleepover at a downtown Boston hotel?
The Courtyard Boston was recently renovated and is a beautiful space to spend a weekend in the city. I loved the performance themed artwork adorning the walls of the hotel and the bright pops of chartreuse and deep purple. It's trendy and feels ultra-luxe and upscale without a lofty price tag. I couldn't have asked for a better experience at the hotel!
After checking in to room 1211 we hung our outfits in the closet and took over the bathroom to get dressed for the evening. The room was a nice size with a large bathroom, two double beds, a desk, and a simple coffee maker. Once we were dressed we headed to the hotel bar and restaurant Post No. 10 for a glass of prosecco and apps. We headed to Trade for dinner and drinks at West Bridge and I turned in for an early evening. There's nothing better than settling into a luxurious bed with fluffy pillows and soft sheets after a night on the town. It was arguably more comfortable than my own bed!
The next morning we giggled in bed (well, ok I was actually in the bathtub, it was comfortable and I wanted to chat with Haley while she got dressed) and then said our goodbyes until the Christmas holiday.
I enjoyed breakfast at Post No. 10 and it was exactly what I needed following a night on the town. It was a heaping buffet style breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, toast, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and more. As I packed up my weekender I was bummed to leave!
