Spa Day at Bella Sante Spa
10:13 AM
It was a humid, drizzly Boston afternoon when I ventured into Belle Sante Spa on Newbury Street. It had been a long week and I wanted nothing more to than to mentally check out for a bit and just relax.
After I checked in at the front desk I made my way to their locker rooms to undress and grab a robe. They have small but gorgeous locker rooms with lots of single-toiletres, hairdryers, and a small steam room. I helped myself to a glass of cucumber water and took a seat before my 11AM massage. It wasn't long before my masseuse escorted me to my treatment room for 50 minutes of bliss.
Nothing too intense, just a very relaxing massage and per usual the 50 minutes went by way too quickly. My masseuse used just the right amount of pressure and oil (because let's face it, nothing is worse than emerging from a massage lubed up like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his body building days).
Immediately following my massage and another glass of spa water I had a 30 minute hydrafacial. It was the first time I had experience this type of facial, a small pen-like instrument is used to cleanse, exfoliate, and extract as opposed to an esthetician. It was certainly a different facial experience that left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated!
I truly enjoyed my experience at Bella Sante Spa; the staff was very polite and accommodating, the spa was very clean, and you couldn't ask for a more serene spa in the middle of Newbury Street chaos.
