Dinner & Drinks at Loretta's Last Call
10:28 AM
On a drizzly Monday night Emily, Holly, Rachel, and Nicole and I headed to Loretta's Last Call in Fenway for some good ol' Southern style food and fun! We were treated to some delicious food and live music over a couple of delicious drinks.
When you arrive at Loretta's it's kind of like stepping through a looking glass that transports you below the Mason-Dixon. It's decorated with lot's of exposed wood, vintage beer cans, neon bar signs, Edison bulbs, and a classic jukebox.
Being at Loretta's was just like being back at home in Texas! We sampled some delicious appetizers from their menu including fried green tomatoes, tobacco onions, Frito nachos, Andouille corn dogs, and the unanimous favorite, sweet potato funnel cake. (It's worth the trip for that funnel cake alone!)
The decor and atmosphere feels just like a Southern bar complete with jarred moonshine and cocktails served in wide mouth Mason jars. The live music was a nice touch; I can't imagine there are many venues for local country and bluegrass enthusiasts around metro Boston. While not your typical Boston restaurant experience, it was really nice to share a glimpse into life in the South with some of my blogger besties. I think they really enjoyed it!
I'm already planning another dinner at Loretta's next month, who wants in on this Southern fried goodness?!
