Paradise Treats!
11:00 AMInfluenster hooked me up with their most recent collection of drugstore favorites and now that I have tried them all I wanted to share my thoughts with you! Included in the box was: Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine, Go Away Cleaser; NYC Sparkle Eye Dust; Goody's Tanglefix Brush; Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil; and Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles.
Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine, Go Away Cleanser: I received this cleanser in the last box I received from Influenster but I am glad they sent it again because my focus was mostly on the Olay vibrating cleansing brush. This cleanser is super rich, a little goes a long way since this cleanser builds up a thick lather. While I didn't notice if it controlled shine well, it did smell great, removed makeup and left my skin feeling clean but not sticky or tight.
NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Smoky Topaz: Okay, I know what you're thinking sparkle eye dust? But this fine powdered eye shadow isn't as odd as it seems. It's packaging and applicator looks like a lot like those typically used in lip gloss and makes for slightly messy application. I like to tap the wand on the back of my hand and then gently sweep on some color. It's a buildable color, so you can make it as sheer or as intense as you'd like. The Smoky Topaz color is the perfect neutral shade.
Goody's Tanglefix Brush: I don't really brush my hair, but I really like this brush for a quick once over when I get out of the shower. It has short, plastic bristles and it doesn't have a handle, so this brush is not for styling but just for detangling. I think of it more like a really big comb.
Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil (not pictured): This styling oil isn't greasy or heavy, leaves hair shiny and soft, and isn't expensive either. Most other Moroccan oil products I've tried leaves hair feeling very greasy, but not this one. It's perfect for those who style their hair with blow dryers and flat irons, and did I mention it smells really good?
Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles: I want to love these insoles, I really do. I've bought them a few times before but I don't love them. In fact, I don't like them. I find the arch support too hard, and feel it offers little relief to the real culprit of high heel pain, the balls of the feet. If you've got a suggestion for a good insole, please share!
Overall, the all-star of this box was the Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil, everything else was rather unimpressive. Have you used any of these drugstore products before? What did you think?
