I had heard great things about Miniluxe manicures, but I had yet to experience one for myself until last week. I headed into the Newbury Street salon on a Wednesday afternoon and set an appointment for two hours later. When I returned, the salon was even busier than it was before. I took forever picking out my manicure colors; I can never decide! I settled on a pretty peach from Essie with a gold glitter accent from the Miniluxe house brand of nail colors. After a short wait my technician, Trinity, came along and escorted me to the row of manicure stations.


Miniluxe's reputation is based around the cleanliness of their salons and that is certainly is the case at this location. Tools are meticulously cleaned in autoclaves and new buffers and files are used on each client. In fact, your tech will ask if you would like to take them home with you-- a fun & useful bonus. Trinity was great, she cut my cuticles (and she made sure to ask first!), gave me a little hand massage, and was super sweet all around.
